R&B singer Emani 22 ‘dies at age 22’ as her rapper friend Bhad Bhabie leads tributes: ‘This doesn’t even feel real’
Rapper Bhad Bhabie has paid tribute to R&B singer Emani 22, who has reportedly died at age 22.
It is still unclear how Emani – full name Emani Johnson – passed, though rumors circulating online have suggested she was involved in a car accident.

Bhabie – real name Danielle Peskowitz Bregoli – posted a heartfelt tribute to her Instagram on Tuesday: ‘I don’t even know what to say… This doesn’t even feel real.’
‘I used to spend almost everyday with you. You taught me so many things. You are my inspiration for many things (hair,nails, style, etc) my big sister. I’m gonna miss you so much.’
A close friend of the singer, known as @alannatheballer on Instagram, also posted a tribute alongside a series of images.

‘my heart hurts so bad. i love you so much emani. i’m so sorry this happened to you,’ the message read. ‘you didn’t deserve this at all! you were such a light to so many of us.
It continued: ;thank you for always being so loving and kind to me. you always went above and beyond for me and always looked out for me. i love how bold you were and were never scared to tell me how you feel. i’m so happy we reconnected last year.’
Emani 22 released her debut album on streaming sites last year, titled The Color Red.

Another friend, Sincere Show, paid tribute on on Facebook writing: ‘I’m heartbroken right now the last thing I thought I’d hear today was that you’re gone I never question s**t but this is crazy like why her I cannot believe this Rest In Peace #Imani @lonebrain.’
Speaking to VoyageLA in 2018 about her passion for making music, Emani told the outlet: ‘I love making music and with my music, I write about things I go through and things I feel. I want to show people that and I want them to feel from it as well.’
She added: ‘I want to inspire my listeners in ways they’ve never felt before. I want to show people how I see things – how I hear them. I put my passion in my writing and my music and it’s all important to me, from every beat down to every last hum.’
